"Duet" is the owner of Tome Tomb, a used comic and book store. This makes them the boss of Vivi and Chloe.
Duet has a rather deadpan way of speaking, making it hard to believe that they can be the enthusiastic conversationalist that they are. Vivi and them get along well. However none of Vivi's investigative endeavors were good enough to find out more about her boss. their background and past remain a mystery.[1]
